Devonshire Arms Country House Hotel

Description: The Devonshire Arms is a traditional country estate hotel on the Duke of Devonshire's estate in the Yorkshire Dales. Set in parkland surroundings with 80 miles of hiking trails and footpaths, seven miles of river and the church and ruins of the 12th century Augustinian priory on the doorstep. With open log fires and comfortable lounges decorated with paintings and antiques on loan from Chatsworth, the atmosphere is warm and relaxed. Directions: M1 to Leeds: follow signs to City Centre & pass under railway bridge. Turn left into City Square. Take the A65, marked Ilkley. Travel through Ilkley & after 1 1/2 miles turn right (signposted Bolton Abbey), turn right again after 200 yards on to the B6160. After 1 mile turn right at the T-Junction & after 2 1/2 miles, at the roundabout junction with the A59, continue ahead along the B6160. The hotel is 250 yards on the right.
