Description
One of the finest 17th century country houses in the south of England, standing in its own lovely gardens next to the historic church in the heart of the beautiful Cotswold village of Lower Slaughter, which many regard as the most beautiful village in England. The pretty River Eye, crossed by two small stone foot bridges and a small road bridge, bisects the village as it flows gently by the imposing entrance.
Directions
Take the M40 North leaving at Junction 8 follow the A40 to Oxford & Burford. Turn right at the roundabout into Burford. At the bottom of the hill turn left onto the A424 - Stow Road. After about 8 miles turn left at the traffic lights onto the A429. In 1 mile turn right into the Slaughters. After 2 bends the hotel in on the right hand side of the road.
