- The New Forest, Britain's newest National Park, was created by William the Conqueror in 1079 as a hunting area. In 1666, King Charles II made New Park Manor, in the heart of this ancient forest, his favourite hunting lodge on his return from exile in France, and his royal coat of arms is displayed prominently above the fireplace in our award-winning restaurant, Stag Restaurant.

- By car - take the M3 to Southampton, then at Jct 14 take the M27 West for Ringwood and Bournemouth. Leave the M27 at Jct 1, turn left at the roundabout then first right onto the A337 south for Lyndhurst. In Lyndhurst turn left onto High St then right onto Gosport Lane, then continue along the A337 south towards Lymington. About a mile after leaving Lyndhurst on the A337, the hotel is on your right. By train - the hotel is about 2 miles from Brockenhurst station, 5 minutes by taxi. Leave the station and turn right onto Aukland Avenue, at the end of the road turn right into Brookley Rd. At the end of the road turn left onto the A337 Lyndhurst Rd and follow it north for about 2 miles until you see the hotel signed on your left.
