As the August Bank holiday weekend fades to a distant memory and we come to terms with how quickly September has come around many people are supporting filling the huge gap between the August weekend and Christmas with a new bank holiday to celebrate being British!
The Institute for Public Policy Research (IPPR), the think-tank that looks into this kind of thing, says that there should be a British National Day that falls on the Monday after Remembrance Sunday, this year’s would be the 12th November.
The IPPR believe that a new national holiday day would help boost a sense of national identity as well as celebrating diversity and providing the opportunity to say “thank-you” by awarding civic honours on the new holiday.

Google is now just a week short of breaking its record for the longest time between PageRank updates.
Although from Google’s perspective PageRank is updated continuously the anticipated PageRank update is an export of these values so that they are shown on the Google Toolbar and other utilities.
According to SEO Company the last export of the PageRank data was 30th April 2007 and the longest time between updates has been 122 days.
Whilst the debate continues as to whether PageRank is as relevant as it used to be or if Google should continue to use it all, we see it as just one indicator out of a range to show how well we’re doing with our on-line visibility.
Whatever your opinion, its always nice to see something heading in the right direction and as we’ve continued with our effort to increase our search engine rankings and added a wide range of new products including UK short breaks and overseas hotel accommodation we’re keen to see the outcome of our hard work!

This week we have been putting the finishing touches to our bank holiday email to remind people that haven’t gotten round to booking airport parking that it is still cheaper to book in advance before you arrive at the airport.
What’s more, there’s still time to add an extra night on to your holiday by booking an airport hotel with holiday parking included. Stay near the airport and avoid a rush to the airport on the morning of your flight. You can arrive at the airport ready to start your holiday relaxed and refreshed.
