New performers for Les MiserablesPeople going to see the famous Les Miserables from June 23rd onwards will be entertained by two new cast members.

The part of the grown-up Eponine will be played by Nancy Sullivan, who some people may recognise following her recent appearance in the BBC talent show I'd Do Anything.

Another contender in a recent TV show, Leanne Dobinson, who featured in How Do You Solve a Problem Like Maria, will join the cast of Les Miserables in the role of Cosette.

Air Europa promotes new flights from GatwickAir Europa is pursuing a promotional campaign as it launches new flights from Gatwick Airport and opens a sales office from the UK.

The airline is already known in the UK for its European charter services and is now expanding its long-haul network with new connections from Gatwick.

Deputy first minister Ieuan Wyn Jones flew from Cardiff to Maes Awyr Mon in Anglesey on May 9th to celebrate the route's first birthday.

Some 14,000 passengers have used the service, provided by Highland Airways, since it was first launched.

BAA welcomes chance to expand EdinburghAirport operator BAA has welcomed a new "strategic vision" for west Edinburgh that is set to provide land for the city's air hub to expand.

The West Edinburgh Planning Framework reportedly endorsed plans for future development at Edinburgh Airport that were outlined in its 2006 'master plan'.

Land will be allocated to both the north and south of the airport, potentially enabling it to handle up to 23 million passengers a year by 2030.

New route links Manchester to FrankfurtRyanair has announced a new route to link Manchester Airport with its Frankfurt Hahn base in Germany.

The new service will launch on October 26th and operate four days a week.

Ryanair, which claims to be Europe's largest low-fares airline, will serve seven locations from Manchester once the new service is launched, with other destinations including Marseille, Bremen and Shannon.

The hub hosted its first easyJet-branded planes today, signifying some of the network changes set to take place this summer.

Following the integration of GB Airways into the easyJet group, the carrier's blue and white aircraft were repainted in the distinctive orange and white colours of easyJet.

Euromanx collapsed on May 9th, leading to some 20,000 passengers being left at their destinations with no way of getting home.

Flybe flew the stranded travellers to their final destinations at no extra charge, while regular airport charges were waived by Manchester.

Birmingham celebrates record April

Birmingham celebrates record AprilBirmingham Airport has announced that it saw its busiest ever April this year, with 712,476 people passing through in the month.

Some 598,712 scheduled travellers and 113,764 charter customers used the airport's two terminals, smashing its previous record figure for April and exceeding last year's total by six per cent.

April was the third consecutive record-breaking month for Birmingham, with January and February also returning best-ever figures.
