			<description><![CDATA[<img src="http://www.fhr-net.co.uk/imgs/news/Luton+Airport_956_19249874_0_0_843_300.jpg" alt="London Luton Airport's destination list growing" title="London Luton Airport's destination list growing" align="left" hspace="5" />The number of destinations passengers can reach from London <a href="http://www.fhr-net.co.uk/airports/luton.asp" target="_self">Luton Airport</a> has continued to grow over the last quarter.<br/><br/>New flights are offered by a range of carriers using the runways at Luton Airport.<br/><br/>At the start of May, El Al Israel Airlines began offering a total of six flights per week from the airport. <br/><br/>Last month, Romanian carrier Blue Air began a service offering two flights per week to Bacau, while earlier this week, flights to Forli in Italy commenced with carrier Wind Jet.<br/><br/>&quot;New airlines choosing London <a href="http://www.fhr-net.co.uk/airports/luton.asp" target="_self">Luton</a> in the current economic climate reaffirms the airport's ease of use with great transport connections and close proximity to London,&quot; said airline manager at London Luton Airport Simon Harley.<br/><br/>He added that the network of services offered from Luton now covers more than 100 different destinations.<br/><br/>At the start of this month, London Luton implemented new regulations relating to drop-off and short-term <a href="http://www.fhr-net.co.uk/carparks/airport_parking.asp" target="_self">airport parking</a>, as part of a drive to ensure improved traffic flows around the complex.]]></description>

			<title>Good news on noise at London Stansted Airport</title>

			<description><![CDATA[<img src="http://www.fhr-net.co.uk/imgs/news/Stansted+airport_956_19249848_0_0_10312_300.jpg" alt="Good news on noise at London Stansted Airport" title="Good news on noise at London Stansted Airport" align="left" hspace="5" />The Flight Evaluation Unit at London <a href="http://www.fhr-net.co.uk/airports/stansted.asp" target="_self">Stansted Airport</a> has been commended for the work it does in responding to complaints about noise levels.<br/><br/>An independent review of the airport's response to noise concerns led Uttlesford District Council to describe the unit as not only well run but also properly responsive to complaints from the public.<br/><br/>&quot;We understand aircraft noise can be a real concern for people and we'll continue to work hard to minimise the effects as far as we possibly can,&quot; said communications manager at BAA <a href="http://www.fhr-net.co.uk/airports/stansted.asp" target="_self">Stansted</a> Graeme Wade.<br/><br/>He added that the airport is not complacent and will always work to do more to tackle noise pollution.<br/><br/>Mr Wade said he was delighted with the audit and thanked not only the council but also those in the local community for their work.<br/><br/>Late last month, the airport welcomed new flights from AirAsia X, which offers low-fare flights to Kualar Lumpur.]]></description>

			<description><![CDATA[<img src="http://www.fhr-net.co.uk/imgs/news/British+Airways+747+plane_956_19248545_0_0_13436_300.jpg" alt="Heathrow Airport to Istanbul service expanded" title="Heathrow Airport to Istanbul service expanded" align="left" hspace="5" />British Airways (BA) is to introduce a third daily flight to Istanbul from <a href="http://www.fhr-net.co.uk/airports/heathrow.asp" target="_self">Heathrow Airport</a>.<br/><br/>The airline currently flies twice a day to the Turkish city, which is growing in popularity as a tourist destination, but will add the extra flight from October 25th 2009.<br/><br/>It forms part of an overhaul of BA services from Heathrow Airport, which will also see the number of flights to Warsaw and Rome rise to three and six a day respectively.<br/><br/>The flag carrier also plans to fly to Barcelona seven times a day and to Prague four times a day.<br/><br/>However, it has also announced cuts to its services from <a href="http://www.fhr-net.co.uk/airports/heathrow.asp" target="_self">Heathrow</a> to Brussels, Paris, Nice, Berlin and <a href="http://www.fhr-net.co.uk/airports/edinburgh.asp" target="_self">Edinburgh Airport</a>.<br/><br/>BA's range of services from the capital will broaden on September 29th 2009 when the first flight on the new London City Airport to New York JFK route takes off.<br/><br/>The twice-daily service will be the first long-haul route to operate from London City.]]></description>

This will benefit passengers and we are naturally very pleased about that.&quot;<br/><br/>Manchester Airport also earlier benefited from two new routes with bmibaby to Amsterdam and Toulouse.<br/><br/>Crawford Rix, managing director of bmibaby, said the airline was already seeing strong bookings to the two destinations.]]></description>
