Bmi regional wins punctuality award
Bmi regional has celebrated being named the most punctual airline in the UK for the first nine months of 2007.According to statistics published by the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), 91 per cent of the airline's flights took off within 15 minutes of their planned departure time between January and September last year.
Delays on flights offered by bmi regional, which operates out of local hubs including Aberdeen Airport, Edinburgh, Glasgow Airport and Leeds/Bradford, averaged six minutes.
Bmi regional was named the most punctual airline overall in 2005 and 2006.
Over this period, its parent airline bmi was named the most punctual airline operating out of Heathrow Airport, ahead of its rivals British Airways and Virgin Atlantic.
