Leeds/Bradford boosted by new services

Leeds/Bradford boosted by new servicesLeeds/Bradford Airport passengers will have a broader range of holiday options to choose from this year following an announcement from Thomas Cook that it will be boosting its presence at the hub.

The company confirmed that during the winter 2008-09 season it will be offering new routes from Leeds/Bradford to the popular holiday locations of Gran Canaria, Tenerife and Lanzarote.

These new services will be offered in addition to Thomas Cook's routes from the Yorkshire airport for summer 2008, to destinations including the Algarve and Turkey.

The operator claims that the holiday options it will be offering this year demonstrate its commitment to the Yorkshire area.

Sally Ramsey, marketing and business development manager at Leeds/Bradford Airport, said: "Thomas Cook are one of our key customers and we are delighted that they
have introduced an additional winter sun programme from our airport, especially during this peak booking season."

In another recent announcement, Leeds/Bradford confirmed that it plans to lift the limit on cabin baggage on flights from May 31st this year.
