Monarch confirms new flights from Gatwick, Manchester

Monarch confirms new flights from Gatwick, ManchesterNew flights to the holiday destinations of Larnaca in Cyprus and Menorca will be available from Manchester and Gatwick Airport this year.

Low-fares airline Monarch.co.uk confirmed that it would offer new flights from Gatwick to both locations and from Manchester to Larnaca from March.

These services will bring the total number of Monarch scheduled flights between the UK and Larnaca to 14.

On the Menorca service, the carrier will now offer over 140,000 seats over the summer, with the link from Gatwick boosting existing flights from Manchester, Birmingham Airport and Luton.

Liz Savage, managing director of the airline, said: "The success of Monarch's scheduled flights to Larnaca and Menorca this summer has been phenomenal and we are delighted to be expanding our network to offer more great fares to passengers travelling from Manchester and Gatwick.

"Monarch.co.uk's flights to Larnaca from Luton launched in March 2007 and we have already carried over 50,000 passengers on them."
