Ryanair plans biggest ever route expansion
Ryanair has unveiled plans for its biggest ever route expansion next year, with 50 new services to be made available from a number of British airports.Among the new routes are connections from Birmingham Airport to Girona, Marseille and Pisa, while Edinburgh Airport will be linked to Alicante, Bremen, Frankfurt, Marseille and Pisa.
Liverpool Airport will also be included in the changes, with new services to Malaga and Nantes, as will Manchester Airport, which will see new transfers to Marseille and Milan, among others.
Michael O'Leary, chief executive of Ryanair, said: "Next year almost 60 million passengers will enjoy Ryanair's guaranteed lowest fares across Europe.
"Passengers at 15 of our European bases are already set to benefit from this expansion, with a total of 50 new routes already announced for 2008."
Ryanair's main base in the UK is Stansted Airport, where it offers flights to destinations including Palermo, Salzburg, Faro and Stockholm.
