Wizz Air to link Warsaw to Sheffield
Travellers using Robin Hood Doncaster/Sheffield Airport will have access to new services to Poland with low-cost carrier Wizz Air next year. The airline confirmed that its first flights from Doncaster/Sheffield to the Polish capital will launch on April 1st and initially be operated three times a week.
Warsaw will be Wizz Air's fifth Polish Route from the northern hub, with flights currently available to Katowice and Gdansk and more services set to be launched to Poznan and Wroclaw.
Flights to Poznan in western Poland and Wroclaw in the south-west of the country are set to begin in January and February 2008 respectively.
Robin Hood Doncaster/Sheffield Airport offers direct flights to over 45 destinations, with new routes launched this winter including Geneva, Lanzarote and Sharm El Sheikh.
The hub has been going through a period of growth this year, with 18.9 per cent more passengers travelling through the airport in October this year than in 2006.
