Stars return to Chicago

Stars return to ChicagoPopular West End production Chicago is set to undergo a number of cast changes and see number of stars return to the stage.

Among the performers to return to the show will be Duncan James, the former member of boy band Blue, who will play the part of Billy Flynn, the role that he filled between July and September this year.

Another star with a pop music connection – Brenda Edwards – will return to the stage to play Mama Morton, after making her West End debut in 2006, according to the London Theatre Guide.

Edwards rose to fame after appearing on TV talent show The X Factor, where she came fourth in the overall competition.

The final new addition to the cast will be Bonnie Langford, whose other theatre credits include Sweet Charity at the Victoria Palace in 1998, who will be reprising the role of Roxie Hart.

All of the changes to Chicago, which shows at the Cambridge Theatre, will take effect from December 10th.

Current performers Amra-Faye Wright and Paul Rider, who play Velma Kelly and Amos Hart, will remain in the production throughout the coming months.
