EMA thrilled with new bmibaby routes
Nottingham/East Midlands Airport (EMA) has announced that it is "thrilled" to be hosting three new routes from low-cost carrier bmibaby from summer 2008.The airline will launch a new service from the East Midlands to Nice next year and also open connections to Gdansk and Warsaw in Poland.
Flights to Nice, which the airport predicted will be popular with leisure travellers wanting to access the French Riviera, will commence on April 1st next year and run three times a week.
Gdansk will also be served three times a week, while services to Polish capital Warsaw will run on a four-a-week basis.
In total, bmibaby, which is based in nearby Castle Donington, will fly to 14 destinations from Nottingham/East Midlands Airport next year, including the popular holiday locations of Alicante, Faro, Paris and Prague.
Caroline Plant, marketing director at the airport, said: "I am thrilled that our local based carrier has expanded their summer 2008 portfolio from EMA.
"The introduction of Nice, as well as Gdansk and Warsaw, will be popular destinations for next summer for the region's travellers, offering even more choice from their local airport."
