Woman in Black gets new cast to scare
A new cast has been confirmed for The Woman in Black, one of the West End's longest running shows.The spooky production will from December 3rd star Sean Baker and Ben Porter in place of Michael Burrell and Dominic Marsh.
A new booking period has also been confirmed for the play, meaning that theatregoers can reserve seats at the Fortune Theatre to watch the ghostly goings-on unfold until December 20th 2008.
The two new stars of the production have a number of theatre credits under their belts, with Baker having appeared in Richard II at the Old Vic, Julius Caesar and Becket at the Haymarket Theatre.
Porter performed in a one-man play called The Atheist at the Theatre 503 and also appeared in Tom Stoppard's The Invention of Love at the National Theatre.
The Woman in Black, adapted for the stage by Stephen Mallatratt from a Susan Hill novel, relates the tale of Eel Marsh House and a young solicitor who stays in the foreboding domicile following the death of its sole inhabitant.
