Liverpool linked to Channel Island

Liverpool linked to Channel IslandLiverpool Airport is now linked to the Channel Island of Jersey following the announcement of a new service by easyJet.

The low-cost carrier confirmed that it will be expanding its route network from the north-west hub next spring with daily services to Jersey.

With the launch of the new flights next year, easyJet's operations from Liverpool John Lennon Airport (JLA) will offer a total of 18 destinations.

The airline recently launched a new service between Liverpool and Lisbon, the capital of Portugal, and on January 8th it will commence flights to the skiing destination of Innsbruck in Austria.

Vic Brodrick, group commercial director of operating company Peel Airports, said: "It's great to hear that easyJet are to increase their operations from JLA by adding yet another new route to their portfolio.

"A daily link to Jersey will certainly benefit the business community and no doubt be popular with those passengers wanting to visit the island for a mini break."
