New BA routes from Gatwick, Heathrow next year
British Airways has announced that it will begin new services from Gatwick Airport and Heathrow Airport for summer holiday passengers next year. The flag-carrying airline will begin flights from Heathrow to the Spanish hotspot of Malaga from March 30th.
In March next year BA's agreement with franchise carrier GB Airways will come to an end, meaning that the airline will take over routes between Gatwick and Alicante, Faro, Gibraltar, Ibiza, Malaga, Palma and Tunis.
These are not the only new services that BA will offer, as its subsidiary Cityflyer will begin services from London City Airport to Amsterdam, Barcelona, Nice and Warsaw.
British Airways' commercial director, Robert Boyle, said: "We are opening up these Mediterranean hotspots with our new flights and are confident that, with our full onboard service and low prices, they will be very popular with customers.
"BA Cityflyer's operation at London City airport continues to go from strength to strength and from next summer will operate to nine destinations in the UK and Europe."
