A380 'will improve passenger experience'

A380 'will improve passenger experience'Air passengers will see improvements in their travel experiences as aircraft like the Airbus A380 enter the market, according to Virgin Atlantic.

A spokesperson for the carrier said that the sheer space available onboard the A380, the world's largest passenger airliner, gives operators more potential to progress with the services they offer their customers.

Singapore Airlines recently took delivery of the first A380, which will enter full scheduled service on October 29th.

Anna Knowles, head of PR at Virgin Atlantic, said: "This aircraft type will give airlines the ability to use the additional space in an interesting way to enhance the passenger experience."

Commenting on the type of customer that will be able to use the A380, she added: "It is not just about business class passengers as the A380 will carry more passengers than any of its predecessors so economy passengers will benefit from this new aircraft as well."

Virgin Atlantic has placed orders for the Airbus A380 as well as Boeing's Dreamliner, which is due to be ready to enter service from 2011.

Other carriers waiting for delivery of the A380 include Emirates and Qantas.
