More flights from Cardiff for rugby finalFlybe has made a number of extra tickets available on flights to Paris this weekend for rugby fans hoping to get to the World Cup final, with Cardiff Airport among the hubs offering extra seats.

The airline boosted its capacity by almost 1,000 seats from a number of its regional hubs across the UK, with Birmingham Airport and Belfast International Airport also among those offering extra space.

An additional 136 seats were made available on a flight leaving Cardiff on Saturday morning and returning from Charles de Gaulle airport on Sunday.

The extra spaces will be opened up as Flybe will use its second largest aircraft to carry the passengers.

Mike Rutter, chief commercial officer of the airline, said: "Flybe is showing its support of the English rugby champions by pulling out all the stops to increase services to Paris Charles de Gaulle, giving thousands of rugby fans the chance to be there when the team retains the coveted title."

The Rugby World Cup final will see England play South Africa at the Stade de France in Saint Denis, with kick-off scheduled for 21:00 local time on Sunday.
