UK airports to offer more Austrian services
New flights to Innsbruck in Austria will be launched from Liverpool Airport, Bristol Airport, Manchester and Gatwick this winter.British Airways and easyJet will be the carriers offering the new services, which will be available for the first time from Bristol, Liverpool and Manchester.
The low-fares airline will launch its routes from Gatwick and Bristol on December 14th, while the link between Liverpool and Innsbruck will be opened on January 8th.
BA already offers a flight between Gatwick and the Austrian ski destination, which will be supplemented by a weekly service from Manchester.
Austria's Tirol region was popular with winter sports travellers last year, as its high altitudes offered good skiing conditions when lots of locations across Europe were suffering from a lack of snowfall.
There are nine ski regions in the immediate vicinity of Innsbruck, offering 285km of piste.
The city centre can be reached via a bus that runs from the airport every 15 minutes.
