Blackpool linked to Ibiza

Blackpool Airport is to be given a new link to Ibiza from summer next year with flights operated by Jet2.com.

Connections will begin to the popular Balearic island from July 3rd.

Ibiza has developed into one of Europe's most popular destinations for British tourists owing to its mixture of nightlife and picturesque natural scenery.

In addition to this destination, Blackpool Airport will offer flights to Palma on the island of Mallorca along with connections to Spanish destinations Alicante, Malaga and Girona next summer.

Services to Malta, Rome, Sardinia, Tenerife and Dublin will also be included in the flight network from the north-west hub.

Blackpool has been in operation since 1909 and saw one of the most significant developments to its business in February 2006 when a £2 million refurbishment of its passenger terminal was completed.
