UK airports included in Ryanair expansionLow-cost airline Ryanair has confirmed a number of alterations that will be made to its services in October, with adjustments to its operations at a range of UK airports among the changes.

It what it describes as an "October revolution", the carrier said that it will launch a total of 70 new routes.

Among them will be services from Dublin International Airport and Nottingham/East Midlands Airport.

A new Ryanair base will also be opened at Belfast Int. Airport, while new routes will be launched at Liverpool Airport.

The airline claimed that the "massive" expansion across the continent will "send high fares all over Europe tumbling to the ground".

Head of communications Peter Sherrard commented: "These 70 new routes will deliver Europe's lowest fares to over five million additional passengers next year and will provide a massive boost to tourism across Europe."

It is not only UK airports that will see changes to Ryanair services this month, as new connections will also be opened from Barcelona, Dusseldorf, Madrid, Pisa and Stockholm.
