More Russian destinations available from Gatwick

More Russian destinations available from GatwickGatwick Airport passengers will have access to more destinations in Russia this winter with an airline announcing expansions to its services.

From October 29th KD Avia will begin flying to Orenburg, Ulyanovsk, Perm, Rostov-on-Don and Magnitogorsk.

This brings the total number of Russian destinations served by the carrier from Gatwick to 14, with Moscow and St Petersburg also among its network locations.

UK sales manager Loreta Durrell said that the airline has been seeing increasing numbers of passengers flying from Gatwick Airport to a wider variety of cities in Russia.

She added: "Initially the response was mainly from the well-established Russian community living in London, but more and more business travellers are now using our services - particularly those from smaller companies or owner-managed businesses."

KD Avia operates its services between London and Russia via its hub at Kaliningrad.

Flights depart three times a week using Boeing 737-300 aircraft.
