West Ireland services return to Gatwick

West Ireland services return to GatwickServices from Gatwick Airport to the west of Ireland are to be reinstated by XL.com, the company has announced.

The route between the London hub and Ireland West Airport Knock was previously operated by other airlines up to October 2006.

XL.com said that it is bringing the service back following "huge customer demand".

The connection provided by XL Airways will be the only flight available between London Gatwick and Ireland West Knock.

Services will run six times a week from December 14th, increasing to a daily service from May 2008.

Martin Lock, managing director of XL.com, said: "We introduced the Gatwick-Knock route as a response to huge customer demand following other airlines pulling out last year.

"Gatwick is London's main leisure airport and is only 30 minutes away from central London on the Gatwick Express - getting to Knock has never been easier!"
