EMA expands range of destinations

EMA expands range of destinationsEast Midlands Airport (EMA) has announced a number of new destinations that will be served from its base this winter, including Goa in India.

First Choice Holidays will begin flying to Goa's Dabolim Airport from February 7th next year.

Other destinations that will be available from East Midlands Airport over the coming season including Banjul in the Gambia, Cancun and Agadir in Morocco.

Penny Coates, managing director of the hub, said: "Winter 2007 destinations are bigger and better than ever before. Destinations such as the Gambia, Cancun and Morocco proved to be a real hit last year and we hope our passengers take advantage of the range on offer.

"The new routes for winter 2007 are great news for the airport as we continue to offer our customers a growing portfolio of destinations for them to choose for their winter break."

A number of carriers will be expanding their services from the Castle Donington base this year, with Sterling Airlines flying to the Scandinavian capitals of Copenhagen, Oslo and Stockholm from October 28th.

Thomson Ski will begin a weekly service to Innsbruck from December 22nd, while Ryanair will expand its portfolio from EMA with new flights to Budapest and Riga.
