Rowdy passengers risk flight ban
Rowdy passengers who refuse to behave may find themselves banned from boarding their flight under new rules at Bristol Airport.According to police working at the airport, holidaymakers who have been drinking heavily or are being antisocial could risk missing their flight.
The plans come following an incident onboard a flight heading to Greece, where ten UK passengers were so rowdy they had to be detained by Greek officers when they reached their destination.
Police airport commander, Inspector Chris Ware, said: "We are now in the peak holiday period and we are keen to ensure all those who are travelling to and from the airport have an enjoyable time.
"Recently there have been incidents in which people have been detained on both inward and outward flights after causing problems."
He added that he and his team would be working alongside check-in staff who will let them know if they believe any passengers have been drinking heavily, appear intoxicated or are causing problems.
The news follows a survey reported in the Sun newspaper which reveals that on flights Brits are the least friendly, loudest snorers and are most likely to annoy cabin crew.
