Buddy returns to London stage

Buddy returns to London stageHit show Buddy - The Buddy Holly Story has returned to the London stage with critics hailing the show as a huge success.

Fans have waited seven years for the return of the show which follows the story of rock 'n' roll legend Buddy Holly.

Opening at the Duchess Theatre this weekend, the show features a number of well-known hits including Peggy Sue, That'll Be The Day and Raining in my Heart.

The two-hour musical follows the story of the singing legend from his humble beginnings through to his first record contract and his move to New York.
Dean Elliott and Matthew Wycliffe will take up the lead role of Buddy having spent the past few months touring the UK with the show - playing up to four nights a week.

Last month it was revealed that the hit musical will extend its run and will now remain on the capital's stage until June 28th 2008.

The move means it will stay in London for nearly six months longer than originally planned and was decided following overwhelming demand for tickets.
