New parking rules at Birmingham Airport

New parking rules at Birmingham AirportBirmingham International Airport plans to prevent anyone from dropping off passengers outside the terminal building following the terrorist attacks on Glasgow Airport.

Birmingham bosses have revealed that from tomorrow, parking restrictions will be put into place to ensure that no one has access to the front of the building by car.

The plans also include a new charging system for people who want to park their cars at the airport, which it says will help to pay for the new security measures which are being put into place.

Anyone who wants to drop off friends and family before their flight will now be asked to pay a £1 charge which will allow them to remain there for 20 minutes.

Chiefs have said that the new 'rapid drop-off' point will be located near to both terminals one and two but not at the front of the building.

Passengers are said to be unimpressed with new the plans, however, with internet users on expressandstar.com calling it a "joke", "money-making" and "any excuse to charge the passengers".
