Stansted advises passengers over security issues
Stansted Airport has geared itself up for the busy summer period by declaring a range of measures that can be taken so that security restrictions are fully adhered to and understood.Entitled the Prepare for Summer campaign is designed to limit the amount of stress that is caused by the strict measures currently in place at Stansted Airport, in light of the recent terrorist threats to hit London.
Passengers at Stansted have been advised to make sure that any hand luggage is sorted out before travelling and is not left until arrival at the airport, the liquid restrictions must be remembered and that it is considered that only one item of hand luggage per person is now the rule.
Stansted customer services director Mark Murphy stated: "The safety of passengers is paramount and there can be no short cuts through the security process. Our Prepare for Summer guide should help passengers understand the restrictions before they arrive at Stansted."
Holidaymakers embarking upon Stansted Airport must arrive at least two hours before they fly to alleviate any stress, allow for plenty of time on the way to the airport and store any luggage not needed for the flight in the hold baggage.
