Wizz makes link between Coventry and Katowice

Wizz makes link between Coventry and KatowiceHolidaymakers wishing to travel to Katowice in Poland will be buoyed to learn that as of July 13th, they will be able to make the trip by air from Coventry Airport.

Thanks to Wizz Airlines, three flights will be made available per week between Katowice and Coventry Airport and passengers heading to the airport lounges will be enthused to find staff who have been busy learning their Polish.

On their way to airport lounges at Coventry Airport, passengers will be greeted with phrases such as "witamy w Coventry" (welcome to Coventry) and "dzien dobry" (hello).

Coventry Airport managing director Mr Orphanou said: "Coventry and the West Midlands region have strong historical links with Poland and these new flights to Katowice are great news for the Polish community, business and leisure travellers."

The first flight between Coventry Airport and Katowice was an 180 capacity Airbus A320 and is the second passenger airline to offer the service from Coventry to the Polish city after Thomsonfly began doing so in 2004.
