Inaugural Newcastle to Mahon flight launched
The first easyJet flight to take place between Newcastle Airport and Mahon, an island situated off the eastern coast of Spain, took place on Saturday July 14th.This flight will now be a twice weekly affair and the low-fares airline has stated that prices begin from as low as £19.99 one way to Mahon, including taxes.
Mahon is the capital of the Balearic island of Menorca and while sat in the airport lounge or resting in the airport hotel at Newcastle Airport, passengers will surely be dreaming of sun, sea and sand and plenty of it.
Katie Stitson, easyJet market manager, remarked: "The addition of Mahon to our choice of routes from Newcastle airport has been popular with passengers from the north-east and forward sales have been strong.
"This is the second new route from Newcastle this year, following the launch of our Krakow flight which began earlier this year."
Already this summer, more than 5,000 passengers have been reported by easyJet to be travelling to Mahon.
