Wizz Air unveils new UK ? Wroclaw routes
Polish low-cost carrier Wizz Air has announced the launch of new routes from Wroclaw to Luton Airport and Doncaster/Sheffield Airport.Wizz Air's plans follow the recent development in Poznan, where it has established its seventh operating base.
The new flights to Luton Airport will get underway in February next year, with regular one-way fares starting at just £19.99.
Jozsef Varadi, chief executive officer of Wizz Air, said: "Our expansion from Wroclaw falls in line with our development plans for Poland.
"The recent announcements of new routes, new bases and new aircraft underline Wizz Air's commitment to Poland."
At present, Wizz Air operates a young fleet of Airbus A320 planes from six bases to 47 destinations across Europe on over 90 routes.
The low-budget airline was only established in September 2003 and now offers cheap flights to regions across Europe from Luton Airport, Doncaster/Sheffield Airport and Bournemouth Airport.
Luton Airport is the UK's fifth largest and handled over nine million flyers last year alone.
It is the fourth biggest airport in London behind Heathrow Airport, Gatwick Airport and Stansted Airport and like those sites features a wide selection of airport parking zones and airport hotels.
