Yotel gets off the ground at Gatwick

Yotel gets off the ground at GatwickAir passengers who have early morning flights or long scheduled transfers might be able to benefit from new hotels which are based at airport terminals.

Gatwick Airport is one of the latest locations to have Yotel cabins set up in its terminals.

Launched yesterday, the 46 luxury rooms offered by Yotel each come equipped with an ensuite bathroom, free Wifi and internet access and entertainment systems.

The group believes that the new style of cabin at Gatwick Airport will enable passengers on early morning flights to catch extra hours of sleep and take away the hassle of an early departure.

Yotel cabins come as premium and standard, with economy cabins, providing all amenities except an ensuite shower, set to be available soon.

Andy Flower, managing director of BAA Gatwick, said: "Yotel is a fresh hotel concept and we are delighted to welcome this innovative new experience."
