Another new Manchester Airport hotel unveiled

Another new Manchester Airport hotel unveiledFollowing the recent announcement that a new Golden Tulip Manchester Airport hotel is in the pipeline, plans for a new 168-room Premier Travel Inn have been unveiled.

Manchester Airport Developments (MAD) has agreed a deal with Premier Travel Inn to build the new seven-storey airport hotel on the M56.

Manchester Airport is the UK's fourth busiest, handling over 22 million passengers last year, and is a popular city airport for business and leisure travellers.

Airport hotels, airport parking areas and airport lounges are often important factors for many travellers looking to get their break off to the best possible start.

John Atkins, strategy and development director for MAD, told the Manchester Evening News: "This is an important step for us as we deliver our strategy based on providing more hotel accommodation for the increasing number of airport customers, which is set to rise from 23 million to 50 million by 2030.

He added that the Travelodge which opened last year had proved very successful and together with the new Tulip Inn, MAD developments will have completed around 600 new hotel rooms.
