'Eve' chosen for Luton Airport promotions

'Eve' chosen for Luton Airport promotionsLuton Airport is aspiring to enhance its brand image with the development of a new female character for future campaigns.

Known as Eve, the urbane and stylish character is first being utilised to back retailers currently operating in the airport, including Starbucks and Boots.

The modern design will also be used in a number of forthcoming promotions used at the airport, in an attempt to establish an image independent of larger airports in the south-east, such as Heathrow and Gatwick.

The creation of Eve is the latest in a series of developments designed to improve the image of the Luton Airport.

Located some 30 miles north of London, the airport has undergone major improvements in the last year, including a £38 million redevelopment of its retail and eating areas, as well as a £16 million runway resurfacing project.

2006 also saw some 250,000 extra passengers using routes from Luton Airport.
