New Marriott hotel for Gatwick
Gatwick Airport is to benefit from the opening of a new Courtyard by Marriott hotel next year.
The 218-room hotel is to be opened under a franchise agreement with the Kew Green group - which to re-brand the other 11 Courtyard hotels currently open in the UK - and Marriott believes that it will prove a massive hit with travellers.
Ed Fuller, Marriott International's director of international lodging, said: "European business travellers, including those in the United Kingdom, are looking for quality, innovation, functionality, service and style at a fair price.
"We are confident that this newly designed, stylish, contemporary Courtyard with its distinctive European flair will be an immediate hit with the travelling public. It will offer the right price-value balance while delivering the consistency of product and service for which Courtyard is world-renowned."
The Gatwick hotel will be located near to the airport's South Terminal, with guest transportation to the terminal provided and complimentary monorail transit for customers requiring the North Terminal.
