Check out of your Heathrow Airport hotel later with BA app
Holidaymakers will be able to allow themselves a few more minutes in bed at their Heathrow Airport hotel this summer, thanks to a new app from British Airways (BA).The carrier has launched an application which will allow members of its Executive Club to check in using their iPhone and receive a mobile boarding pass.
A new version of the original BA app, which has now been downloaded by more than half a million customers, will also be on offer to those using Blackberries and Android phones.
Chris Davies, head of digital marketing, said that the app means "no matter where they are, [passengers] can turn to their mobile phones to find the very latest information about flights, check in times and even access boarding passes allowing them to stay one step ahead."
He added that the mobile boarding pass feature will be particularly useful for those returning from overseas who may not have access to a printer.
Last month it was announced that from November 3rd BA will be offering direct services to the Mexican holiday resort of Cancun.
The route will be served by a Boeing-777 aircraft, which includes three separate cabins and flat beds in Club World business class.
