Christmas getaway hampered by fog

The British Airport Authority has advised that the Met Office has issued guidance that dense and in some places freezing fog is set to continue over the next few days.
This has already resulted in domestic flights to and from London Heathrow being cancelled, it is also reported that a large number of European services have also been affected. As of today's posting it is reported that Gatwick airport is experiencing flight delays of up to 90 minutes, with nine British Airways domestic flights being cancelled.
