Holidaymakers advised to book airport parking early
Easter and summer holidaymakers are being advised to book their airport parking early to take advantage of the best deals.FHR has produced its top five tips for airport parking and said that those who reserve their places well in advance can often get the best deals, such as the Gatwick Long Stay South non-refundable saver options.
Pre-booking also means that holidaymakers can save up to 60 per cent on the price they would be charged if they just turned up on the day.
Further money can be saved by booking direct with FHR as they do not charge fees on credit card transactions.
Customers were also advised to consider placing their cars in off-airport parking, which is often cheaper despite still being very close to the terminal building.
According to FHR, those who want to remove the stress of airport parking completely can choose a meet and greet option. People who are willing to pay a bit extra can have their car picked up at the terminal, driven to a secure car park and returned to the terminal when they arrive home.
Travellers at Luton Airport are also currently being advised to "allow significant extra time" to catch their flight as road works are taking place around junction ten on the M1.
