Glasgow Airport announces £25m investment
Passengers travelling from Glasgow Airport will be guaranteed a better customer service when £25 million is injected into the hub.In 2010 £12 million will be spent on projects that are designed to upgrade the airport's infrastructure, improve passenger's facilities and make access to the airport easier.
This will be followed by an investment of £13 million in 2011.
Amanda McMillan, managing director of Glasgow Airport, said it was good news for passengers.
She added that terminal facilities would be improved and some airport lounges refurbished.
"This is a significant investment in the future of Glasgow Airport, and underlines our commitment to grow the airport and deliver a better customer experience for our passengers," Ms McMillan remarked.
Last year a terminal extension, that cost £31 million, was opened to the public.
This additional space contains a new security area, extra seating, more bars and restaurants and the arrivals hall.
Glasgow Airport has warned passengers travelling over the coming days to contact their airline to find out if their flights have been affected by heavy snowfalls and severe weather conditions.
