Flight delays 'expected' due to snow
Heavy snowfall and severe weather conditions across the UK may cause flight delays and disruptions to services.Passengers travelling from British airports should contact their airline to find out the latest flight information before leaving home, officials from Gatwick Airport have said.
The wintry weather caused all flights from Manchester Airport to be grounded for an hour and a half over the weekend while snow was cleared.
A number of flights across the country, including some easyJet ones from Bristol Airport, have been cancelled.
There have been heavy snowfalls in the UK and, according to the Met Office, more is expected this week.
Severe weather warnings are in place across much of the country, especially in the north of England.
A spokesperson for Gatwick Airport said the travel hub was "working closely with its airlines, ground handlers and other airport partners to improve the information given to passengers and to minimise delays and inconvenience following the delayed and cancelled flights".
