easyJet announces Manchester Airport routes

easyJet announces Manchester Airport routesAirline easyJet is set to begin offering four flights a week to Helsinki from Manchester Airport next spring.

The Manchester Evening News reported that in addition to the new flights to the Finnish capital, a fourth easyJet aircraft has also been added to the fleet of planes that fly from Manchester, which will increase capacity to sun holiday destinations such as Cyprus, Alicante, Tenerife and Athens.

In total, easyJet will now serve 16 routes from Manchester Airport thanks to the expansion. Other destinations available for travellers in Manchester include Copenhagen, Marrakech, Corsica, Geneva and Munich.

All easyJet flights at Manchester Airport depart from Terminal 3.

The airline is also expanding its services from Liverpool John Lennon Airport - a twice-weekly service is set to fly from the north-west hub to Malta from June 2010.

A new Airbus A320 in Liverpool earlier this month saw easyJet begin services to Lanzarote and Fuerteventura.
