New route from Liverpool John Lennon Airport announced
Liverpool John Lennon Airport has gained a new flight route after easyJet revealed that it will be increasing its services from the hub.The budget airline will begin to run a twice-weekly service to Malta from next June.
Robin Tudor, head of PR for Peel Airports, said: "It's great to see flights to Malta available once again from Liverpool."
He added that the extra flights would give passengers a greater variety of choice with more destinations to choose from.
Mr Tudor explained that the island is filled with culture and has a tremendous history.
The news of this extra flight follows the arrival of easyJet's new Airbus A320, which began its services to Fuerteventura and Lanzarote earlier this month.
Trevor Spinks, easyJet's marketing manager for the north-west, remarked that the budget airline was the one chosen by an increasing number of people in the area.
"We are committed to the region and look forward to further expansion," he added.
Last week, Ryanair announced that it would be adding two aircraft to its fleet at Liverpool John Lennon Airport.
