It will also run flights to the Polish destination Lodz, and the Italian cities of Trapani and Rimini.
Ryanair will also be increasing its services to Krakow, Poznan, Faro and Wroclaw.
Neil Pakey, deputy chief executive of Peel Airports, said the launch meant that Liverpool served more Italian destinations than most other regional airports in the UK.
He added that it had given passengers a greater choice of services.
Dara Brady, deputy head of sales and marketing for Ryanair, remarked that the flights would sustain 2,500 jobs in the area.
"With a total of 44 low fare routes from Liverpool this summer travellers in the North West can beat the recession by choosing Ryanairs guaranteed lowest fares," he added.
This comes after Ryanair announced that it would be adding new flight routes to three other UK airports - Bristol, Edinburgh and Glasgow (Prestwick).
