Problem solved, for new London Show

After a nationwide search, the BBC1 program "How do you solve a problem like Maria?" has provided Andrew Lloyd Webber with the answer.

Namely Connie Fisher, Connie beat a talented field of girls to land the chance of a lifetime as the lead in the exciting new production of The Sound of Music, which is being brought to the London stage by Lloyd Webber.

It is understood that Connie will begin rehearsals almost immediately, giving her little time to reflect on her achievement.

The Sound of Music is a well established family favourite and ticket sales have already seen an increase, no doubt as a result of the many fans who voted for Connie, now hoping to see her perform in the role of Maria made famous in the sixties film by Julie Andrews.

The stage adaptation, which is due to open at the London Palladium is the first theatre production to have allowed open auditions and a "talent show" voting facility to place the lead role.

Bookfhr are pleased to be able to offer tickets on-line for this show and for a host of other top West End Shows.
