New star for Chicago

According to sources Ashlee Simpson, sister of Jessica Simpson is already in rehearsal for the role of Roxie Hart. She is set to play the part in the London production of Chicago, currently playing at the Cambridge Theatre.

The 21 year old singer's albums include "Autobiography" and "I Am Me", as well as musical ambitions and success, Ashelee Simpson has also appeared in various films and TV series both in the UK and in the USA.

Simpson will be the second pop start to have been cast in Chicago lately. Grammy award winning Usher currently plays the part of Billy Flynn in the Broadway production.

The London production of Chicago showing at the Cambridge Theatre, currently features Linzi Hateley as Roxie Hart, Ian Kelsey as Billy Flynn and Amra-Faye Wright as Velma Kelly.
