Heathrow Airport gets new brand image
With BAA's sales of Gatwick Airport and Stansted Airport imminently likely, the airport operator has moved to reinvent the image of Heathrow Airport.Marketing magazine reports that this week will see a new brand identity established for the busiest hub in the UK.
Instead of BAA being used as a consumer brand, the airport will be marketed under the name Heathrow and with the strapline "Making every journey better".
Outdoor advertising will soon commence on the London Underground allowing potential passengers to see the attaction of using the London airport's facilities.
It was announced earlier this month that one such benefit of using Heathrow Airport is that passengers can connect to BT Openzone without needing an access voucher.
Free Wi-Fi can be used in Terminal Four by using the SkyTeam landing page - and the service has been described as "essential" for business and leisure travellers alike.
