Heathrow and Gatwick airports 'can amuse the kids'

Passengers travelling with children from Heathrow and Gatwick airports should make the most of children's play areas, according to Cheapflights.co.uk.

The UK's leading price comparison website has listed tips to stay amused at airports in case of long delays or waiting times.

Among the recommendations was the Jetterz Kids Club Lounge at Heathrow Airport and the free play areas in the north terminal at Gatwick Airport.

Francesca Ecsery, general manager for Cheapflights.co.uk, said creativity was key to passing time in airports.

"Whether you're on a budget or not, there's plenty of entertainment to be had at the airport prior to departure," she added.

Some of the attractions at airports outside the UK included a swimming pool at Singapore Changi International, a Thai massage lounge at Bangkok International and a gym at Chicago's O'Hare Airport.

Cheapflights.co.uk has won numerous awards certifying that it is the best travel and price comparison website.

It was recently shortlisted for the 2009 Travolution Awards in the Best Meta Search/Price Comparison Website category.
