All's Well That Ends Well comes to the West End
One of William Shakespeare's most popular plays is coming to the West End this month.All's Well That Ends Well, a romantic comedy filled with misunderstandings and mishaps, will be showing at the Olivier Theatre in London.
About a feisty but poor girl who has fallen in love with a count, the play turns the traditional fairy tale on its head.
Helena is forced to complete a series of impossible tasks to win his love, in the play which has a background of snobbery and selfishness.
Marianne Elliott is directing the cast, who are seasoned Shakespeare actors.
Award-winning Oliver Ford Davies, who has recently appeared in Hamlet takes the role of the King of France, and The Winter's Tale actress Michelle Terry stars as Helena.
The Countess of Rossillion is played by Clare Higgins, who has appeared in a number of Shakespearian plays including King Lear, A Midsummer Night's Dream and Richard III.
Other stars in the production include Hasina Haque, Conleth Hill and George Rainsford.
