Check-in for your flight the day before and avoid the queues

Did you know that an increasing number of airlines are offering 'Day before check-in' at London Gatwick? This means passengers on early morning flights can check in the day before knowing that you can just go straight through passport control in the morning without joining that long queue at the flight check-in desk. Ideal if you are taking advantage of an airport hotel, stay overnight, with a bit more sleep, you can wake up in the morning refreshed and relaxed. The following airlines offer this facility:

North terminal

British Airways   Opening hours: 16:00 - 22:00
Eligible flights: All flights departing the next day prior to 15:15. Simply check-in using the Self Service Check-in kiosks between 16:00 and 22:00 and deposit your baggage at the Fast Bag Drop in Zone C - All passengers must be present at check-in

First Choice Airways  Opening hours: 12:00 - 22:00
Eligible flights: All departures before 09:00
Charge: £5 per passenger, bookable in advance with First Choice.
All passengers must be present at check-in, with the exception of families travelling under the same surname; adults can check in on behalf of children under 12 years of age. The service is not available to those passengers collecting their tickets on the day of departure. The service is not available to passengers travelling with ski, snowboard or sports equipment.

South terminal

easyJet     Opening hours: 20:00 - 08:30 
Eligible flights: Eligible flights are only those departing prior to 08:30 the following day. - All passengers must be present at check-in

Excel Airways    Opening hours: 16:00 - 22:00
Eligible flights: All departures before before 12:00 midday.- All passengers must be present at check-in. Excludes those passengers collecting tickets at the airport.

My Travel    Opening hours: 16:00 - 22:00
Eligible flights: All departures before before 12:00 midday - All passengers must be present at check-in. Excludes those passengers collecting tickets at the airport.

Thomas Cook     Opening hours: 16:00 - 22:00
Eligible flights: All departures before before 12:00 midday. - All passengers must be present at check-in. Excludes those passengers collecting tickets at the airport.

Thomson Fly    Opening hours: 16:00 - 22:00
Eligible flights: All departures before before 12:00 midday.-  All passengers must be present at check-in. Excludes those passengers collecting tickets at the airport.

Virgin Atlantic   Opening hours: 12:00 - 21:00
Eligible flights: All departures    -  All passengers must be present at check-in
