Exotic weddings

A well known insurance company has published findings from a recent survey, indicating that almost a quarter of all British couples’ weddings in 2005 took place outside the UK. According to research the trend is set to rise in 2006, with more British couples than ever wanting to tie the knot abroad.

Surprisingly South Africa topped the poll in wedding destinations followed by St Lucia, Las Vegas, Mauritius and Antigua.

Most of the couple participating in the investigation claimed it was the desire to have the wedding and honeymoon in one place, with other couples happy to escape relatives and the guarantee of good weather as strong reasons for marrying abroad.
